I Hate you, Love Me!
We’ve all been there, on both sides of the fence. We’ve been loved and we’ve been hated. We have cherished the ones we love and loathed those we hate. It’s often a fine line, a line many of us never knew we were drawing close to. Obstacles exist between love and hate, but none so inherently obvious that we view them as a viable reason to stay clear of the line. Love and hate are feelings, subconscious and uncontrollable. We know when it consumes us, yet can’t pinpoint the exact time or reason why. We embellish and boast of one and conceal and deny the other. Love and hate, like hot and cold, are one in the same, just separated by a few degrees . . . or a few feelings. Who do we hate, and why not just dislike? Do we tend to hate those we don’t know or those who were once close? Too often hatred rears it’s ugly head as the evil twin of love. An evil twin that lives in all of us, for if you are capable of one, you must be capable of the other.
How many times during your lifetime have you hidden your feelings, be it feelings of love or feelings of hate?
I encourage everyone who reads this to comment on this post. Explore your feelings of love and hate and use this forum to express yourself. Tell us how you came to love or hate a particular person, when you realized your feelings and what may have precipitated those feelings. Then, after you’re done writing your comment, carefully examine the reasons you listed to justify your feelings (when describing the person above, use their first name only).
