Ghosts & UFOs

How many centuries has man debated whether or not ghosts and UFOs really exist.  We have no solid proof of either, so assumptions are speculative at best.  Have you seen a ghost?  How about a UFO?

A true story – my grandparents were well respected and loved in their community and church.  Having retired as a public servant, my grandfather was well known by both politicians and store clerks alike.  In 1979, he purchased a home that was built in the late 1800’s.  After spending a couple of years restoring it to its original condition, he purchased an antique dresser at a garage sale.  The owner of the dresser, during casual conversation, told my grandfather that it belonged to her husband who had recently passed away.

Not long after putting the dresser in their bedroom, my grandparents began experiencing strange happenings about the house.  It became common for their bible to found opened to a certain passage.  Footsteps could be heard throughout the house.  Strange shadows would block the moonlight as they tried to sleep.  Ceiling fans and lights would be turned on with no explanation.  Items would fall off shelves or were moved to a different position.  Knocks on the walls and other strange and unexplained noises startled them on a regular basis.

For about a year my grandparents tried to ignore the spirit.  When this proved ineffective, they tried to communicate with the spirit.  Neither worked and it continued to haunt them until they found it necessary to sell the house, spirit and all.  Not long after my grandmother passed away.  She too stayed around for awhile after her death, just to let my grandfather know that she had made it to the other side.

A likely explanation –  If we had the ability to travel to inhabited planets light years away, would we not at some point want to introduce ourselves?  UFOs have been sighted for thousands of years, why have they never made contact in a public setting where all could see?  Because, UFOs are from our future.

One of the key principals of time travel is the preservation of what will become our future.  One should not disrupt the past, for any alteration may have a serious impact on the future.  For examply, if one were to travel back in time and kill his father before he met his mother, how would that affect his future.

Most of us agree that in 200 to 500 years, we will have the knowledge and ability to time travel.  So, astronauts in our future would have the ability to travel back in time to the year 2009 or 1009 for that matter.  Just as we are interested in early mankind, our ancestors, future mankind is equally interested in us as we live today.  Yet they won’t interact with us for fear of upsetting the time continuum.

At some point in our near future, we will come close to destroying ourselves in a nuclear war.  Although 40% of the human race will survive, the radiation from nuclear fallout will greatly change the way we look and function.  For hundreds, if not thousands of years, following the nuclear war, generation after generation will look less like we do today.  Thus, the strange humanoid appearance of the aliens we beleive come from another planet.
